Hi there! I'm Mika Hernandez. Thanks so much for stopping by. I suppose this is where I tell you a little about myself. I am first and foremost a child of the Most High, a wife, and a mother to 8 beautiful children who keep me humble and fill my life to the brim. I love digging into the Word and allowing the Lord to open my eyes to depths that I am unable to see on my own. I love sharing the Word with others and watching the Lord bring them to a fuller knowledge and revelation of Himself and what it is that He is doing in and through them. To watch another walk in freedom is exhilarating to me. I am also a doula (childbirth coach) and lactation counselor. In both of these capacities I am greatly honored to serve women and encourage them in some of the most memorable days of their lives. I love travel, but more specifically to participate in missions and have found that I have a heart for those who find themselves in poverty of spirit or living conditions. My hope is in the Lord and seeing His hand and leadership in my life spurs me onward. His faithfulness is amazing.
What is it that fuels you? For me, it’s Jesus. I love writing about Him, about what He reveals to me through Holy Spirit in His Word, about what He's doing in my life, and allowing me to be a part of. If I can't be steeped in a great conversation about Him, the next best thing is to pen my thoughts.
It's been years... this moving in my heart to write, that I continuously just kind of tuck away to the side behind all of the day's demands. The emphasis by the Lord to write has grown to undeniable heights and so I've begun here. Unraveled by His Grace is my life story that continues to unfold as the Father gently molds me into image of His precious Son. I trust the Father will accomplish much with my feeble attempts to proclaim His great love for humanity and if one life is improved, changed, or begun because of it- it's worth the "risk" of obedience that's really no risk at all. If one's eyes are opened to Him, if one captive is set free, if one heart is healed, I am humbly and forever grateful to get to be a co-laborer with Christ.
